Francis "Bink" Spiess

February 2, 1954 – April 26, 2022 Bink passed away surrounded by family and friends during his last few days here on Earth. Predeceased by his father, Thomas; mother, Marilyn; and wife, Sandra. He is survived by his sons, Adrian and Garrett; brothers, Thomas, Gregory, Eric and Christopher; niece, Samantha; and nephew, Benjamin. Bink was born and raised in Rochester, NY. He graduated from McQuaid Jesuit High School and worked at Eastman Kodak until he moved to the coastal town of Santa Cruz, CA in the late 1970’s. There, he started his company Spiess Electric and settled down to raise his boys. Bink enjoyed sailing on Monterey Bay and skiing in the Sierras. He was an avid photographer always in search of the perfect image. He also enjoyed doing home projects and restorations and was always ready, willing and able to help family and friends on their projects, or at least suggest the best way to proceed. Bink was truly loved by many and will be sorely missed by his many friends and loved ones from coast to coast.
