Born November 25, 1946 to Beverly and William Yaggi in Williamsport, PA. Helen departed this life on March 24, 2025 at the age of 78 after a long illness.
She is predeceased by her parents, Beverly and William Yaggi; brother, Chris Yaggi of Williamsport; sister, Pamela Schondeck of Colorado Springs. Survived by son, Michael (Patricia) Hyman; adored grandsons, William and Nicholas Hyman; sister, Tammy Yaggi; brother, William (Jeannie) Yaggi; nephews, Marc (Sarah) and Brent (Sarah) Yaggi; great-nieces and nephews, Jack, Summer, Kingston and Zoe.
Helen was a dedicated mother. She raised her son alone and did the best she could with a strong-willed preteen, making sure he knew he was loved. Helen worked at Kodak, starting in the dark rooms processing film. She worked her way up to helping run the hospitality division for Kodak's NASCAR team, a job she truly loved. Helen left Kodak in the early 90s to move back to Williamsport. She spent time as a stewardess for US Air, then moved on to be in advertising sales for the Williamsport Sun Gazette, a job she found challenging but fulfilling.
Eventually Helen moved back to Rochester to be close to her beloved grandsons, Will and Nicholas. She loved them more than anything in this world. Tragically, Covid-19 and her illness prevented her form being the Nana she wanted to be.
She will be missed tremendously by her family, who takes comfort in knowing that she is once again whole and they will be together with her again.
The family wishes to express deepest thanks to Aunt Ta (Tammy) for taking great care of her early in her illness and the Rochester Presbyterian Home for their excpetional care at the end stages of her illness.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Helen's name to the Rochester Presbyterian Home, 256 Thurston Rd., Rochester, NY 14619, or to Lollypop farm, 99 Victor Rd., Fairport, NY 14450
