Karen is survived by her loving mother, Willie Ruth Mitchell; brother, George W. (Ellen) Mitchell, Jr.; daughter, Amanda N. Thomas; sons, Benjamin F. Thomas and Kyle B. Mitchell; grandchildren, Chozen Thomas, Kyle Mitchell, Jr. and Kimani Pusey; nieces, Kristen and Jennifer Mitchell; cousins, Constance Mitchell-Jefferson and George (Myrtle) Fontenette. She is predeceased by her father, George (Bozo) W. Mitchell, Sr. Left to mourn her loss will be a host of relatives and friends.
